A native of Puerto Rico, Dr. Hernandez is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She graduated from the University of Puerto Rico School of Dental Medicine where she received her DMD degree. She completed advanced training in General Practice Residency at the Manhattan Campus of the VA VY harbor Healthcare System.

Dr. Hernandez received her specialty in Pediatric Dentistry at the Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center in Brooklyn. Beside her duties in private practice she is also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatric Dentistry at Lutheran Medical Center. Dr. Hernandez is an active member the American Dental Association, NYS Dental Association and at Second District Dental Society. This committee disseminates information and establishes programs for the public to improve the awareness for good oral healthcare.
